Data integrity--unified processes for data collection, curation, storage, and re-use--can unlock powerful analytical and innovation capabilities. Several standards and tools exist to foster ag data integrity and interoperability; however, in some instances standards have proliferated, and in others they are not clear or easy to apply. This session will address the issue of data integrity -- acknowledging that misuse or disuse of these key tools has real-world consequences. What is the state of the art with respect to standards and tools? Where are there overlaps or gaps, and how might these best be addressed? What is the responsibility of the agricultural researcher today?
